Evangelos Catevatis
With bleeding feet
dry lips
and copper breath,
I find myself
at the end of the world.
And then, I hear
one birdsong
I see the shaft of just one
straw of sun…
the pine…
I am alive !!!
nevertheless, nevertheless
I pry a hole
in the rocky hill.
One cave,
a grave
I insert myself
and enter life
the day the papers announce
my death.
